Dr. Rakesh Jain
Dr. Rakesh Jain is working as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Institute of Mental Health and Hospital, Agra since January 1998. Prior to that he worked as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Chetana Institute for the Mentally Handicapped, Bhubaneswar from March, 1990 to January ,1998. He completed his postgraduation from Digamber Jain College, Baraut, CCS University, Meerut in 1985. Specialized in Clinical Psychology from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi in 1987-89 and obtained his doctorate in psychology from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 1997. He co-supervised 12 Ph.D. theses in various Universities of India. 07 candidates already awarded. He served as Visiting Fellow in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar; MD University, Rohtak, and University of Hyderabad. He developed Cognitive Drill Therapy for OCD and Phobia. He is the recipient of most prestigious Prof HN Murthy Oration Award for his significant contribution in the area of Cognitive Behavior therapy by Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists. He was also awarded Somatic Inkblot Series Award twice. He has published 63 papers in National Journals and 15 papers in regional publications. His contribution on hypnosis, past life regression and Cognitive Drill Therapy is widely covered in print media. He has participated in 41 National/Regional Seminars and Workshops and conducted workshops as Resource Person in Cognitive Drill Therapy, Hypnosis and Past Life Regression. He is a life member/Fellow of 09 professional associations. He served on Editorial Board of 05 professional scientific journals. He has authored four books on Cognitive Drill Therapy, Hypnosis, Past Life Regression and Rorschach. His book on past life regression is a most liked book. He is an approved examiner for Postgraduate/M.Phil and Ph.D. in 17 Universities in India. He has presented 20 popular lectures on hypnosis and past life regression in various forums. He has delivered 58 demonstration lectures on hypnosis in various institutes/Universities and Colleges. His areas of interest are: Cognitive Drill Therapy (Primary Interest), Recovery Focused Behavior Therapy, Projective Psychology, Behavior Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression, Biofeedback, SPSS, and Single-subject Designs.
